Visual art for the visually impaired

Hm, well, the bulk of today's creativity was focused on the "art" side of things. I think I'm getting the hang of this banner business...

All of my attempts can be found on my Master Fic List. I hope to have one for each story (minus those in my catch-all collection, because that was just kill me LOL). I suppose if I ever find new places to archive my stuff, I can use these as advertisements :D


(Also my avatar at FF.net now that the pixel limit has increased). Definitely my last attempt at manipulating the original images over much. I think I cursed more doing this one than anything I've ever attempted, in any art program. But I couldn't resist that still of Kagome - just *perfect* to fit the mood of this piece, I thought.

I also liked Sesshoumaru's expression so much that I cropped it for an icon:





Back to the nice and simple for this one. Luckily, I will have the chance to use this one around LJ & the like. Hopefully I will be in the right frame of mind to finish the sequel oneshot in the next few days :)



THE MOST AWESOME SCREENCAP EVER, Y/Y? I saw this while I was looking for something to use with Nihon Idol, and it actually reminded me of when I wrote this piece. I was reading the animanga volume that contained this episode, and the picture brought such a vivid, similar image to my mind for the story. Now whenever I reread the piece, the dreamy sequences at the end of both parts bring this to mind. Makes me want to rewatch the episode, even though this is like a split-second still LOL.

Not sure I like the one for "Four Seasons," but the ones for "Memento Mori" and "Coda" are gorgeous!

Your banners always make me wish I was better at picking subtitles or quote snippets for "advertising" my fics. lol

I fought so hard with the Four Seasons one. I'm not completely satisfied, but it's done, LOL. I'm not good enough at changing the images so that they match exactly with the one in my head.

The other two I put down to the simplicity of it all. I futzed around with adding another image to the Memento Mori one but ultimately decided not to. Since I'm only using official art it's sometimes hard to find the exact images I have in mind.

Mostly I fight with the "word art" since that's the only part I can control. *sigh* Doing this makes me wish I could draw.

It's just the summaries I chose, LOL! I try to match the images to the summaries, in fact...which makes for interesting times combing through screencaps, believe me!

Thanks! :) I guess practice does make perfect...

It helps when you don't have to futz around with the original image, though. I'd kill for the ability to draw so I could 'illustrate' my Sess/Kag stories better (since they're all AU LOL).

I especially like Coda. The only issue I have with The Four Seasons is that since it is AU Lord Fluffy should be dressed as a modern Japanese.

Yes, I know they are both dressed wrong on the Four Seasons banner, but I don't have the skillz to change their clothes to that extent.

Tis why I wish I could draw. It'd make my life much simpler, LOL.
