Drabble Meme: Inu/Kik icons for kmoaton

The first of my commissions fulfilled: kmoaton asked for an icon to accompany her Inu/Kik claim over at un_love_you. Since I found a plethora of nice images from the manga in my quest for bases, I decided to make more than one.

I'm not the best icon-maker, but I made all of my user icons (save one) and they seem pretty popular, so...

Bases from the manga: chapters #76 (The Scent of Death), #77 (Kagome's Voice), and #173 (Jealousy).

The background is dark green to accompany the header banner I'm making for this story, which will be ready whenever I get a title :)

OMG! Four plus pimpage! Wow! I really do love them ^_^

The name I thought about using, I wound up using to name my drabble collection on FF. (too much Coldplay) It hard not to be sappy! But I'm working on it and hopefully before the night is over (at least in my time zone :) ) I'll have something!

Very beautiful icons. I see you like Kikyou when she softens as opposed to her hard look. Have you ever noticed that in the manga her eyes are the only ones which change from round to almond shape depending on her mood and feelings. Miroku, Sango, Shippou, Inuyasha and Kagome stay round eyed throughout the series. Sesshoumaru, Kouga, and Naraku and his minions are always drawn with almond eyes the traditional drawing of villains in manga. Of course, both Sesshoumaru and Kouga started out as enemies as did Kikyou, but RT alters her eyes.

Thanks for the compliments :) I do enjoy chopping up the manga at interesting angles, LOL :)

I tried to choose scenes that were reminiscent of the story being written, and I knew that it was to ultimately be a story of love and loss between Inuyasha and Kikyo, so I chose scenes that showed Kikyo in a favorable light :) (Also had to take into consideration pics where I could crop off Inuyasha's ears, and where their clothing wasn't *too* distinct). #1 was the first idea I had, and the other three came from searching for pics.

I love the way RT draws eyes, but no, I can't say I never explicitly noticed that Kikyo's eyes are the only ones which change shape depending on her mood...an interesting observation. Guess that just goes to show what an important and complex role she ended up playing in the story!
