Honestly - The only part I saw coming (and even then, didn't expect it to happen YET) was Sesshoumaru outing InuYasha.
Then again - don't use me as an accurate representation of proper foreshadowing! There are a few things I guessed about the final Harry Potter book by book three.
And there are things in book SIX, where things got OBVIOUS, that when RIGHT O'ER MAH HEAD.
My ability to be so incredibly sharp-eyed and yet so incredibly oblivious actually impresses me moar every day.
Yes, this section is very much channeling a bit of personal rage I had about a month ago, and the only way I eventually calmed down was by saying, "LOL this is totally how Sesshoumaru's gonna react when Kagome confronts him - and he knows that revenge is a dish best served cold :D"
Mmmmm, real life. Isn't it great to subject your characters to it? You don't suffer alone! ^_^
Edited to add: And again let me beat the old drum: not everything is as it appears :)
I continue to cross my fingers and hope that while InuYasha is kind of a jerk (which he is canonically), I know you don't destroy characters so I'm guessing he's also appreciative of Kagome's friendship, and does actually like her, too. There's also the whole, if he gets Kagome, that's one more thing he could have over Sesshoumaru...
