I was pretty much expecting that Inuyasha would succeed to some extent in getting between them, I mean, I was expecting big time drama -- but the circumstances... those were entirely a surprise.

Well, at least part of it was surprising :) It's hard for me to gauge how much of a twist it is for the readers when I have it plotted out so far ahead in my brain - kinda like I'm too close to the source, you know? It makes sense for these things to be happening in my mind, but I'm not sure how it looks to everyone outside my headspace, LOL.

I'm also at a loss as to where Kags and Sessh will go from here. Sess's father and Inuyasha have done a pretty good job of dividing and conquering. Sesshoumaru's line at the end of this chapter is absolutely heartbreaking.

Well, all I can say is that not everything is exactly as it seems. Where there's a will, there's a way.
