Definite "yay" ^_^ Though he handled it a lot better than I did, LOL! It felt very real, very similar to what I went through (and mine was a similuation, soo....) Do you know the hardest part is "acknowledging the question" first? I always forgot to put "Hai," and bob my head at the question-er before answering -_-;;
Awesome! Basically I reread the sites, jotted down the questions I wanted to use, and told the muses to go at it - my hand was my scribe.
I can imagine the acknowledgement would be tough to remember, since its not something we're used to - or bowing in deference instead of engaging outright eye contact. For some reason, it felt natural here, though - the characters were even saying "hai" in my head, but I didn't want to run rampant with fangirl Japanese, so I decided to translate all the dialogue (except gaijin at the end, it's supposed to feel like an insult :P).
iirc, Suzuki-sensei said shaking hands was only for a finalization on an offer (because at that point, one is familiar enough with another for actual touchies)
*pumps fist* Well hot damn, I got it right when all I wanted was an excuse for them to touch! I love it when it works out all awesome like that, LMAO. I mean, I don't think they'd make an offer that fast, but its nice to know they would offer a handshake while doing so.
Seriously...that just makes my inner nerd beam like nothing else, LOL :P
Oh no! :( Sorry to hear about the RL drama... but definitely looking forward to some hurt/comfort. There's not enough in this fandom *nodsndos*
