Thanks for the clarification on the manga timeline :)

It appears, from the episode titles at least, that Kikyo's death might happen over two episodes, so I dunno :-/ Its so hard to gather clues from the new anime about what they do and don't consider important, or at least important enough to keep in the original timeline of the story.
