Teen drama is where the angst is! LOL :P Childhood nostalgia FTFW.
I didn't really watch - my childhood best friend's mother was absolutely addicted to it though.
FUN FACT: Haylie Johnson had roles on both Dr. Quinn *and* Kids Inc at the same time...as if I needed more incentive to watch, LOL.
I think what drew me into this show was the historical setting and strong female lead, more than anything. I am such a pushover for any sort of period piece, and I appreciated that the protagonist was a strong, confident, forward-thinking woman (even if it bordered on anachronism most of the time :P). The development of a romance for such a character is incredibly tricky, and I think they totally played it right with this one :) I enjoyed the series right up until the end, when Joe Lando was gone and they tried to drive a wedge in the biggest canon ship of 'em all. But of course, by then I was rather enamored of Colleen/Andrew relationship <3
