Sweet Valley Twins Read Along | Frightening Four Miniseries - #099: The Beast Must Die
Read-along master post here

Pre-read initial thoughts: Per the cover, it looks like the cliffhanger of the house being on fire with the twins locked in the secret room will play a role in this one - but what sort of cop-out will it be? And we're jumping into the uncanny valley with this idea of "entering the dreams to kill the beast" - makes me wonder who came up with that idea! Jessica couldn't do anything in her previous dream about Eva, what makes them think they can do something in this book?
I'm also curious as to what sort of Wacky Hijinks subplot will be present, and if it, too, will defy belief.

No. Dad, if you can afford to just fly off to FL with the wife because her mother is sick, you can also just go to SV to watch your kids, dammit. I can accept Mrs. R leaving the kids for really unreasonably long stretches of time because of Plot and the BSC primed me for such things but these are sixth graders and should technically be 11 and no way in hell would kids who just nearly burned down the house be left alone.
I'm beginning to see why I remember nothing about these books beyond the covers. 0_O
