It's like they assigned the books to be written at the same time and thus, sent them simultaneously to different authors, with varying degrees of success. The London arc was written by at least two different people, maybe three, and this one has two different authors so far. It irks me that continuity was too much to ask in a two-book arc! I'm betting the Evil Twin arc had at least two ghosties, so there's our trifecta. I don't remember enough about the vampire arc to recall if they felt disjointed writing wise as well. Good point about probably wanting them written at the same time, given just how many were being pumped out at the same time. Seriously, hitting the end and realizing the first set of Secret Diaries were released right after this was a bit of a whiplash moment.
No idea why Todd was there, other than the fact that besides Robby and Steve, *everyone* at the party was from SVH. I mean, do these people not have friends of their own?? Or was the ghostie just that lazy?? Was the Andy mentioned a friend of Jeremy's or the SVH Andy who would have even less of a reason to be there than Todd? (I completely forgot about him til I went and scooped up my quotes earlier.) Still, only having one other friend there is just...weird. Early 20's is young to get married but not so young that more than like two friends would fly to attend said wedding.
LOL at Liz wanting a "book" shower The most Liz thing ever, truly. I approve, ghosty.
and then I remembered that she herself lost her pretty figure at the beginning of college for basically both reasons, so poo on her for that entire scene. I was drinking (Sprite, not anything more fun) and when I tell you I nearly choked reading this!
I don't think Steve is aware of Sue's "illness" at this point and nobody yet knows its a complete crock of shit (which, even without having read any of the other books in this series yet, is crystal clear already) I would still expect Liz to think of Tricia, though we've got three more books to go, and I figure at least two of them will give me the chance for it to happen. Maybe. Hopefully we'll get the previous ghosty back and they'll mention her. Oh, the waiting for the truth to come out is gonna drive me batty, but patience is a virtue and all that.
