Eikyuu Kosai: July 2009 Term

Voting for the first term at Eikyuu Kosai, the Mir/San Fandom Awards, will begin tomorrow, July 18th, 2009, and continue through Friday, July 31st, 2009. I'd like to extend an invitation to the whole of my f-list to check out this fantastic new guild, located at mirsanawards. We have a fabulous slate of nominations in contention this term, and we'd really love all of the help and support we can get, now that its come time to vote!

Membership will be CLOSED during the voting period, so if you want in on the action, you have to join before midnight TONIGHT. It will open up again on August 1st.

I'd like to extend a very special thanks to landofthekwt and eggplantlady for nominating two of my short pieces! I am beyond floored to be nominated here, because I haven't had the chance to write a lot of Mir/San, and I feel like I can't hold a candle to either of them, much less the rest of my competition. But I'm excited nonetheless, so thank you both for the nods!

Giftfic of the best possible kind

I have really rad friends. I have awesome fandom friends, and awesome RL friends, and a super-special cross-section of the two. When something of the fic variety is produced by group #3, I have to put on my purple pimp hat in a very big way.

Apparently my Sesshoumaru muse is very jealous, because he ran off to zangetsugirl this morning, when he realized I was concentrating my efforts and need to vent with Miroku, for a change. (*huff* You'd think he'd be happy that I wasn't intending to torture him for a change, but noooooooo.) But, it appears he never travels without a bit of that eternal wisdom only he holds, so before bullying her to death, he inspired one of my RL best friends to write a poignant, angsty, gorgeous little fic for me. Now, she's the first to admit she isn't in this fandom and hasn't been for years, but she writes with such beautiful precision and clarity that I adore reading her stuff, even if our primary fandoms don't mix.

And she certainly knew what I needed today.
