Fandom History & Inspiration Meme - Day 9
Jul. 9th, 2011 06:21 pmDay 9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
Does it have to be three? LOL...I can't keep up with tons of pairings in all of my fandoms! :P
Inuyasha
I enjoy writing Miroku/Sango, Sesshoumaru/Kagome (my version of this pairing, which bears zero resemblance to Dokuga's version, LOL), and Inuyasha/Kagome. I started with the last of these, and will finish with the first. Needless to say, it's been an interesting progression through the fandom.
Kids Inc
I've only ever really written for my OTP in this fandom, which is Ryan/Stacy. I enjoy reading Mickey/Gloria (who have a similar relationship), which is the only other pairing that's been written with any frequency. I have plans in the works for a couple of matchups, including potentially one-sided Ryan/Gloria (oh, unrequited love, LOL!!), Riche/Devyn, Jules/Renee...eh, we'll see. I'm still very much in the planning stages for stories set in this universe, and very focused on my OTP ♥
General Hospital
I've only ever written for one pairing here - Matt/Maxie - and the canvas is so huge that I pretty much stick to my favorite characters without venturing out further. I enjoy reading Maxie stories (no matter what her pairing, because she's just that awesome, LOL), and Patrick/Robin, but anything else I read tends to be genfic instead of romantic.
Baby-sitters Club
I've mostly written Sam Thomas/Stacey McGill here, which is my canon OTP. My alt!ship OTP is Charlie Thomas/Janine Kishi; I've written one story that hints at this ship, and I'm working on a longer, separate piece where they actually get together. I like reading most of the canon pairings (parent!fic, Logan/Mary Anne, Bart/Kristy, etc etc etc) and I have a couple of pet alt!ships (anything involving Pete Black, LOL). Like KI, I'm sure I'll expand my pairings repertoire as I dig deeper into this fandom.
Jonathan Creek
I've only ever written one pairing fic for this fandom, and it was Jonathan Creek/Maddy Megellan, which is the (original) canon pairing.
Ouran High School Host Club
I've only ever written one story for this fandom, and it was Kyouya/Haruhi, not it wasn't exactly romantic, so I don't think it counts, LOL.
