Allegiance | Series Complete

Summary: Strictly-come-canon, post-manga. Kagome is forced to seek out Sesshoumaru's protection in the wake of unexpected tragedy. As she insinuates herself into his life, Sesshoumaru comes to realize her second chance is also his, as her presence drives him to confront mistakes from his own past.

It is with much consideration that I've decided to close the Allegiance universe to new entries. Writing this series was a wonderful adventure, and going through it to edit and post in chronological form filled me with the warm fuzzies of nostalgia for this pairing ♥ I'm proud of the story I told, even if it will always feel a little incomplete to me.

I'd like to take a moment and thank everyone who's read, reviewed, and supported me along the way. You guys have no idea how much that means to me, nor how much it enriched the experience of writing and sharing my love for these characters and this universe :)

This series was originally written and posted to various LJ communities between 2008 and 2010. That said ~ one entry was fairly heavily edited, to smooth the transition from one arc to the next. You can read the original version of #18 Halo here, or the edited version of it here.
