All right, the last of the featured story banners at InuYasha Fanfiction are set to go up today, but here's a peek if you're interested:







Ahahaha, the last one was a total pain, but sooo worth the effort in the end :) Title bars work wonders to hide coloring errors! :P

I've also started making the participant banners for iy_fanfiction. Can I lure you to write for us if I show you one?

I made a few backlog banners for the people who wrote for the first prompts of the year, but when we have our first set of results from this batch, I'll also post a banner here, just for comparison. I'm planning to make the actual placement banners a bit bigger than the participant banners, but they will be based off the same general template.

What do you think?

ETA: By the way, I am looking for some good places to download fonts. I literally haven't cared about downloading fonts in 10 years, so I'm sure my old sources are well and gone by now. If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to them :)

Nope; if I recall correctly, back in my message-boarding days (LOL), we used to send the fonts to each other via email, actually. I'll check it out, though! :)

I like dafont because you can put whatever you want in for sample text... that's the only way I ever picked a font for my Identity Crisis banner. XD

The selection that came with my operating system is definitely limited, haha. Considering some of the entries we've received so far at the comm...yeah, I need to stock up on some decorative stuffs!

Ahhh, thank you! :) The third one was definitely the hardest; I'm not at my best trying to stitch two images together. I'm just glad my sorry coloring isn't too noticeable - though I did fill out the fluff a bit! w00t!

I still haven't really mastered layers/filters/effects yet - definitely not enough to want to share my efforts with the world - but I'm pretty proud that it didn't take me all day to do the last one. Consider the last time I used that picture of Sess - I ended up spitting and cursing, LOL!
