A bit of crossover love!

I just tweaked my latest chapter of Nihon Idol and uploaded the newest versions to MM.org and FF.net. I was surprised and pleased to see that the latter has finally gotten on the crossover train!

I'd noticed a few subtle changes in the headers the last few times I'd been to FF.net, to read others' work, but I wasn't expecting the new fields on offer for editing my own stuff!

Now, if you put up a crossover, you can put in both fandoms:

...and it creates a new category of fics:

which you can now search by (or subscribe to a feed for):

LOL, I'm not surprised I'm the only one crazy enough to do an Inuyasha/Instant Star crossover :P I'm not sure if the stories can be found by looking up the individual fandoms or not...and I'm not sure if I want Instant Star folks to read my rewriting of Season 1, LOL - so I guess we'll see what happens!

And, because I've been playing around with banners and fonts and all, I decided to redo my Nihon Idol header banner. I kinda really love this font, I think it gives off the playfulness of the story, whereas the picture lends the angsty/drama undertones.

I'm tempted to redo a few of my other, older banners as well, but we'll see if I have the time and patience after taking up bannering for a community :P

Between that and the fact that Musicals/Plays finally have their own section outside of "Misc"... I'm really quite shocked and horrified. Changes, on my ff.net? It's more likely than you think No way!

You may be in for a pleasant surprise. Some of the 'Instant Star' fans will like this take. It is a really good story and they should enjoy it.

That's a beautiful font on that banner - what's it called? *headtilt*

And OMG FF.net in the 21st Century? NO FREAKIN' WAI!

I'm not familiar with Instant Star, but that's great that ffn is accomodating crossovers better. They've made a lot of changes recently--mostly huge improvements. That story stats feature, where you can see all the different countries your readers come from, was the funnest, shiniest toy for me when they first implemented it.

I'm so excited about the changes on FF! I can't wait until I have my chapter ready to post so I can really see what all they have done for the crossovers. I was amazed that their opening page had a separate browser for them.

The font on that banner really is perfect for it. ^_^ It looks awesome!
