A bit of crossover love!
I just tweaked my latest chapter of Nihon Idol and uploaded the newest versions to MM.org and FF.net. I was surprised and pleased to see that the latter has finally gotten on the crossover train!
I'd noticed a few subtle changes in the headers the last few times I'd been to FF.net, to read others' work, but I wasn't expecting the new fields on offer for editing my own stuff!
Now, if you put up a crossover, you can put in both fandoms:

...and it creates a new category of fics:

which you can now search by (or subscribe to a feed for):

LOL, I'm not surprised I'm the only one crazy enough to do an Inuyasha/Instant Star crossover :P I'm not sure if the stories can be found by looking up the individual fandoms or not...and I'm not sure if I want Instant Star folks to read my rewriting of Season 1, LOL - so I guess we'll see what happens!
And, because I've been playing around with banners and fonts and all, I decided to redo my Nihon Idol header banner. I kinda really love this font, I think it gives off the playfulness of the story, whereas the picture lends the angsty/drama undertones.

I'm tempted to redo a few of my other, older banners as well, but we'll see if I have the time and patience after taking up bannering for a community :P

It's more likely than you thinkNo way!no subject
I'm just glad they didn't strip out misc characters from their story editor - nothing's a bigger pain in the ass then going back and having to re-separate your chapters have you load a document there. Geesh.

One thing they would like is that I'm basically going to have the outcome the majority of the shippers wanted, one that took IS four seasons to finally get around to :P
As I said, we'll see...it's not a crossover in the normal sense of the word!

That story stats feature, where you can see all the different countries your readers come from, was the funnest, shiniest toy for me when they first implemented it.
LOL, I don't get nearly enough hits/visitors to make the new trackers worth it; all they do is depress me, haha. Most of my readers are Americans, natch, but it is interesting to see where in the world some of these people are tuning in from :)

The font on that banner really is perfect for it. ^_^ It looks awesome!

The only downside is that crossovers aren't listed under either of their respective fandoms (which I realized last night when poking around there again). Instead, it creates a new category for them - which isn't so bad, if you are writing popular crossovers, like IY/YYH, but for obscure folks like me...yeah. You'd either have to be following my profile page or the story itself to ever see it updated.
*shrug* Either way, its nice to finally have them acknowledged! Maybe it will encourage others to give them a shot.
