I really, really love the new anime. When it gives us stills like

this:



how could I not? :)

I love characters who emote mostly from their eyes, and this series has a lot of that - but its always a bit more poignant when its a character who otherwise doesn't show emotion at all.

There's no doubt that the new anime is really pretty. I'm enjoying it quite a lot even though they're hurdling through the chapters. I'm just glad they're finishing it - and I loved that scene at the end of Ep 2 with Kagura's death. It was beautifully done.

And it looks like they have a lot packed into the next one as well - funny how they're throwing the Kitsune Inn arc in so early - but then again it wasn't much more than filler in the manga so I guess it could go anywhere and not matter.

It had me close to tears *sniff sniff* Darn those animators manipulating our shippy, shippy little hearts!!!

But it was so worth it ~ with their treatment of her death, they passed my first test. (Now we just need to see SessMom and I can die happy, LOL!)
