Anime news: We're getting SessMom!

ganked from the always-wonderful [livejournal.com profile] aamalie:

Three more episode titles for the new anime

Episode #9 = 冥界の殺生丸 (Meikai no Sesshoumaru | Sesshoumaru in the Underworld)

*pumps fist*

Can this day get any more awesome? :D :D :D

I can think of a couple ways, mostly related to why I stopped watching the anime. Then again, I'm a Mir/San fan cynic. XD

Put yourself in my shoes - if your favorite arc was guaranteed to be covered, wouldn't you be jumping up and down?

Based on the fact that the new anime has made me question why the hell I love these superfluous, unnecessary, useless characters in the first place... Not sure.

And besides, its SessMom - aren't you just the least bit curious?

Nope. :D

I seem to be the only person in the history of ever to have no real interest in Sesshoumaru or his mother. -shrugs-

Hehheh! I never doubted for a minute the Hell arc would be covered. I am NOT liking the fact that it will get only 1 episode, though. Same goes for Kaou, which I have actually been looking forward to even more than the Hell arc. They are simply not doing justice to the storylines. I'm starting to wonder what the heck they're going to do in the last 5 episodes--seems like they'll have already finished the manga before then.

"Well, I don't like that either, but its better than half an episode (like Kagura's death) or no episode at all."

Are you sure they won't be covering something else at the same time to make it a half episode? One thing Inuyasha anime--both new and old--is not known for is spending a whole episode on just one event/action.

"And the fact that they're covering Kaou at all seems like a minor miracle..."

I always knew they would cover the Hell arc and I had no doubts they would do Kaou, too. They're both really major eye-openers for Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha, and necessary for character development.

Edited to add: I don't mean to rain on your parade. I'm glad you're happy about the confirmation of the Hell episode. ^_^ I'm just a grumblegrouch with a headache today. Ignore me.

Based on what they have done so far, I would expect them to devote single episodes to theses stories. They seem to be finding things for Sesshoumaru to do. Changing the touch of Tokujin to a solo battle instead of an ensemble cast. Having Sesshoumaru in the Kinka-Ginka episode instead of Inuyasha.

IY, Kikyou and SessMom are my favorite characters. Devoting weeks to their story will definitely be worth it.

I didn't really have any doubts they would do the Hell arc, but I'm thrilled to see proof positive. They sure do seem to be speeding through things *not complaining*

SessMom is been occupying more and more of my fan brain lately. Dammit. I may have give in to the plot bunny after all.

*facepalm over my grammar fail*

If the zombie plot bunny ever sees the light of day, it won't be before I lighten my load. I can handle a drabble here and there. A big, involved pre-manga thing needs some space.

But yeah...so looking forward to upcoming episodes. No matter how they arrive.
