OneManga suspends Inuyasha manga
???
Anybody have any idea why OneManga has suspended the IY manga scans from their website? Or when it happened, for that matter?
adinuyasha has scans from chapter 449 on, but the other sites I checked are also suspiciously lacking of this title. Hmm...this does not bode well for bannering purposes.
ETA: I guess I hit them up right when they yanked everything, because now they do have a message in place (whereas before, there was only an error page):

It's not quite the same, but they do own the rights to InuYasha and let us have access to it for a long, long time. Most American publishing houses would have been slapping cease and desist orders a long time ago.

That sucks large, tho, for bannering purposes - manga panels and anime caps are about all I'm willing to use, since fanartists can get their knickers in a twist about the use of the art (not that I blame them).
Oh, well - I have a scanner now, so if worse comes to worse, I suppose I can scan the volumes I have...

That's what it says here.
If you don't mind downloading whole volumes for everything before 449, check out http://www.freelance-manga.com. They have the entire manga series available there: volumes 1-46 downloadable altogether, and everything after 449 available online.
Freelance actually has much, much better quality scans than adinuyasha, and also started when EarTweak stopped scanlating. Starks really did an amazing job cleaning the panels. The only downside is that most of the online stuff is on Photobucket, so navigation isn't as easy.

I did a quick check of the site to see if it was still up over there (or if they knew what had happened), but I guess I missed the link. I don't mind downloading volumes if I have to ~ goodness knows I have the space :P

Really? I'm pretty sure it's been up since at least yesterday, when I came across this altogether lame revelation myself.
Anyway, Here's the link to volumes 1-46: http://freelance-manga.com/community-archives/
And here's the link to where you can get 456 onwards: http://freelance-manga.com/releases-wip/

LOL really - or else I wouldn't have been stupid enough to ask my LJ f-list, if I could've found/confirmed the answer myself :P
Thanks for the links to Freelance ~ I'll haveta check them out. Meanwhile, the

*facepalm* Gotcha. LOL @ me saying silly things. XD
Thanks for the links to Freelance
No problem! It's a fantastic resource site, so I'm all for spreading the love and free manga. And no worries about the banners. I doubt anyone's going to complain when we're so fortunate to have you to make them in the first place. :)

LOL believe me, I know all about the Freelance vs adinuyasha wank wars, even if I was fortunate enough to miss them the first time! :P

I know all about the Freelance vs adinuyasha wank wars
And...there was Freelance vs. adinuyasha wank? HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS? *wants the dirt*
no subject
LOL yes. Consider the major players at both sites, and, well, when wasn't there the possibility for wank?
I'm trying to dig up links for you, but I know some of it is buried in the Freelance manga forum. There were fights over translators and scripts and who could get the chapters out faster on a weekly basis...and, eventually, who got their version posted to sites like One Manga.

And man. Basically, fights over silly stuff. (Then again, when is wank not over silly stuff? =P) The competition over who could get it out faster I kind of saw, but that's a usual thing between scanlators. But, heh. Amusing nevertheless.

I think VIZ is making a mistake. I bought the manga because I could read it first on line. I'd have never bought it blind. Not only that, I've never even unwrapped a bunch of my volumes because I can't stand the flipped pages. I'm used to reading right to left when it comes to manga now.
