t's amazing how many people say that they stuck it out to see them get their happy ending.

Wow, that is pretty amazing! Considering everything they went through, though, I just don't know how you couldn't root for them to finally find some happiness and peace.

They really are just wonderful characters with a wonderful story, even despite the baggage.

The whole series is quite exceptional in that way, I think. Its rare to find such a long story with such engaging characters with so much room for fannish exploration. This is the only anime or manga I've ever really been sucked into at such a level, and there's a reason for it :)
