Meta meme: 30 Days of Shipping

Day 13 - What is your favorite television pairing?

The answer will probably surprise no one, but this was a surprisingly hard choice to make, truth be told:

Ryan/Stacy, Kids Inc - I tend to enjoy all of my pairings pretty equally across all media, so what it came down to for this was, which ones have inspired me to go above and beyond, and to create fanwork? After all, I'm a fairly easy shipper to please: I buy into canon a lot. So it takes something extra special to push me beyond that...and considering the only live-action pairing I'm writing extensively for (right now) is these two? They win, LOL.

My fangirl squee inspiration is this ~

Oh young Fergie, so cute even then... :)

Hehe. I'm not surprised you settled on them, but I can understand why you had a difficult time choosing. Comparing fandoms/pairings that you love equally - but usually for completely different reasons - really is like the old chestnut of comparing apples to oranges.

So when that does happen, it forces me to go a bit deeper, and that's when I start really falling in love with a character or pairing

*nods* This. When you start really studying them is when you realize, "Oh, *this* is why I love them so much." Which gives you a whole new insight. In my experience, anyway. :)

I hold on hard to first loves

And for a reason! There's not much like returning to them!

Most people think of chemistry as love or sexual interest, but it goes beyond that, and I find that fascinating.

Agreed. I always wonder about that. When I met my best friend, I knew within about 30 seconds that we were going to be awesome friends. We couldn't be more different on paper, but it was instant on both of our parts. On the other hand, it took years of knowing my husband to think about dating him. It's difficult to know why there would be a difference in why and how I became close to each of them. Same goes for pairings though - some of them, there's an instant attraction, and some, it takes me awhile. What's the difference? *shrugs*

Not surprised that this is your favorite TV show. Disney had no idea how to market in those days. Today they would have been the next Hannah Montana.
