I'm not sure who lucky #10K was, but I *think* it was sweetly_beth...at least, that's the last comment I remember receiving before I happened to find this rather bemusing milestone. Either way, I thank everyone who's contributed to my journal over the last 2+ years ~ it wouldn't be nearly as much fun without you! =)

Besides writing, I was able to indulge my cooking-impaired side...but luckily, AB writes literally failproof recipes. Enjoy granola bars? Why not try making your own? These are amazing! <3

I finished my next chapter of Stacy in Bloom, much to my relief. The next one in line is going to be pretty heavy, so here's hoping the muses will stop dancing amongst all the fun stuff they have planned far in the future and give me something good to work with *crosses fingers*

Day 30 - Your favorite ship forever and ever and ever?

My answer to this is simple: YOU CAN'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!

The ships I tend to pick tend to have an enduring quality to them, whether I feel the need to "rewrite their ending" or not. I have stuff on here I've fangirled since I was five, for Pete's sake o.O But, at the same time, it all depends on when you ask me this question. A year ago, I might've said S/K was my ultimate enduring ship. Today, I'll tell you it's Ryan/Stacy, but that's biased to the fact that I spent all day writing on a story centered around them (if not about them, in particular). A month ago, I would've answered Sam Thomas/Stacey McGill, because I spent that weekend rereading a shitton of BSC books.

It's obvious I've reached back into my memory bank for some most of these, and it's obvious that I actively squee over a few of these more than others. Shipping, to me, is an enduring practice in and of itself - we move on, we grow up, we try new things...and sometimes we look back fondly =)

I hear ya about not making a choice. Whichever pairing I'm playing with at the moment...Over the last six months, it's IK and a triad of Hephaestus/Aphrodite/Ares...(you can't separate them. It's an unusual, but stable relationship). And Calypso/Oddyseus. Who knows who it will be in the next six months?

Exactly. I've set aside my various ships for varying lengths of time, but doing the bits of research necessary to fill out this meme has made me feel squeeful about all of them, all over again <3 It doesn't matter if I feel moved to write fic for them or not ~ I still love them :)

And the ones I *do* want to write for? Well, that tends to go in cycles (unfortunately). Right now I'm in a huge glom for my beloved Kids Inc, but who knows where I'll be six months from now? (Hopefully with a few more finished WIPs under my belt, LOL, but I promise nothing! :P)

That's the fun of shipping - its fluidity. You can go from one thing to another in constant search of your happy place, and just know that they'll always be there for you when you're ready to return :)

Well, I haveta say, by the time I finally got to the end of this thing, I found I couldn't make a choice. Yeah, if you put a gun to my head and forced me to name an OTP, it'd be the one in my icon...but I think that misses the point. It's fun to play in multiple sandboxes, even if you're the only one playing there at the moment :P

Hahaha, I can relate to this, though probably on the opposite spectrum as you. I've started using Twitter and Tumblr just to START to keep up with my FMA fandom friends. Still, however it plays out, I definitely enjoy the talking. We've had some great times along the way!

That would be why I've had a lot more action on LJ than you, then :P I use Twitter to keep up with GH (and YouTube, to some extent, for KI), but otherwise, it's a bunch of websites for me to troll through. IY fandom spoiled me, by being so centrally located :P

This entire year has felt like it's flown by o.O 30 days is a drop in the bucket! I can barely believe it's already October, if you wanna know the truth.

=) Well I guess that just goes to show how pathetic I am, considering I've watched enough TV and read enough books to have such a, er, varied selection. Mostly, though, it seems I have a very definite pattern or type that I just keep conforming to whenever I encounter something that sparks any sort of deep interest. That was a little weird to discover, LOL!

It definitely feels like a huge weight off my shoulders, getting this thing done. I've found I just don't like posting everyday - I'd be a horrible blogger, LOL.

I'm really grateful for all the feedback I've received, because chatting and squeeing is what makes fandom fun, IMO. Believe me, it gets a little lonely when you're the only one into whatever you're into sometimes... :P

Yeah, in some ways my answer to this final day was a total copout, but after a month of intense shipping meta, I found I just really couldn't choose. I love all my pairings <3 whether I write for them or not.

YOU CAN DO IT! *cheers* It's a lot of fun to think outside the box a little - and to even acknowledge those ships that you found satisfying in canon <3 Obviously I learned a lot about my own shipping preferences by doing this, but you don't have to get all deep like I did (since I have the tendency to go off the deep end anyway, LOL).

I'd love to see what sekrit ships you hold, or what shows/books/movies you love that you haven't talked about very much. You never know what you might find you have in common with others on your f-list! :P
