[livejournal.com profile] 7snogs prompt table here.

The [livejournal.com profile] 7snogs challenge is this: you can interpret the prompts however you wish, but the story must contain a kiss in some way, shape, or form. My twist on this is that my main character - Stacy - would *not* be on the giving or receiving end for each of these kisses.

We move a bit deeper into canon with this entry, and a bit further along the path of adolescence =) This ficlet references (among other things) episode 4x7, "You've Got the Wrong Date":

Of all the "main cast members have a crush on a heretofore never mentioned character" episodes (and every cast member got one, sooner or later), this is probably my favorite. I like the songs, I liked the storyline, and I especially liked the beginning of the third part here, LOL ;) It seems quite to form that Stacy would take the long way around in confronting her burgeoning feelings; being the youngest has a tendency to inhibit you like that :P I've taken this idea and run with it in my longer epic story, but it's something I wanted to explore, even here.

This is also the first ficlet in this series that references one of the sentences I wrote for the writing exercise last year:

#15 – Silk
She felt very grown up in her first silk dress, a gorgeous deep crimson with dainty lace detailing – and felt even more grown up when she wore it on her first date with the boy she’d had a crush on for years.

There are lots of firsts happening in this piece - first crushes, first dates, first kisses - the sorts of 'rites of passage' that are universal for teenagers, and I found it rather intriguing to entangle them here, LOL. And, of course, it wouldn't be a LuxKen27 story without a little angst thrown in for good measure ;) If there's going to be angst, it's going to be at this point: while feelings are still simmering, before they're confronted, for better or worse. And then there's the twist of Stacy's first kiss happening when it does...

Needless to say, this is one of my favorite installments, LOL.
