Summer Mini Challenge

The world has gone to hell in a handbasket this year, and has literally turned my life (and probably yours!) upside down. Because of this, I've made the difficult decision to put the Summer Mini Challenge on hiatus for this year.

However!! You are more than welcome to use the prompts from previous years if you'd still like to have a summer writing challenge. I'm linking them here for your reference:

I've been running the SMC since 2011, and I hope that it will continue long into the future. I don't have much time these days to write (for pleasure), so I'll need my yearly boost, even if no one else does. Thank you to everyone who has participated, and see you next year!

Aww, it's sad, but totally understandable. It's been exceedingly difficult for me to write for pleasure lately too. Such is the state of the world I guess. Writers are generally sensitive folks and this whole Covid thing is taking a toll on us all.

I'm still realizing how much the pandemic has changed my life. I literally have no routine anymore, which has upset my apple cart in more ways than I care to contemplate. I'm not even reading as much as I did last year!

Its just been so bizarre and stressful. Hopefully this time next year things will have settled again and we can resume some semblance of life, normal or not :P

Will there be a challenge this year? If not, that's totally fine. But if yes, I'd love to try my hand at it again. Haven't written anything since December. ;)

A day late, but its finally up! Work has been kicking my ass this month, but otherwise, life is okay, all things considered :)
