Updated BSC book release news

The BSC Retro Set #2 release date has been pushed back to 11/2/21. The tin is super cute and I can't wait to bring it home! (It is, of course, cheaper on the A.)

I spotted the first of the Baby-Sitters Little Sister paperback re-releases in the wild today. I suppose it was only natural, after the success of the Graphix versions and the parent BSC re-release. impy will not be pleased to see the redhead erasure continues on the new paperbacks 😔

I'm still a bit puzzled as to why they haven't re-released the Super Specials, although I suppose the first few really didn't flow into the canon storyline quite as much as the later ones did...

Haha, I say that, and now I spot that BSC SS#1 is slated for release in May 2022 😆 It's listed as only $1 more than the RS releases, but I anticipate that price will be going up. I'm curious to see the artwork!

It looks like the BSC re-release has slowed way down, about 3 months between books now. I'm glad in the old days that it was a book a month, and even then it wasn't fast enough for me, LOL! (Although now I feel old.)

Oooh, your powers are astounding. But at this rate they're never gonna get to the mysteries and that's just the saddest thought of all.

I'm kind of surprised they don't have a bunch ready for when season 2 of the new series drops, as I recall interest in the books seriously spiked last time.

Well, at least we've confirmed that Jackie Rodowsky keeps his carrot top in the main BSC series. Who knows WTF the LS people are thinking?? I wonder if they are going to alter the text, too. The BSC RS books haven't been altered from the original release, I don't think.

I guess TPTB figure they can hold new fans of the TV series hostage with the book series, or they figure that there are enough differences between the TV series canon and the book canon that there's not as much overlap as they anticipated, based on the reaction to the first season of the new series. IDK. I'm just glad I didn't catch the collector's bug because these books are so much more expensive than the OG series, even on the secondhand market!!
