Every Heart: Notes for Chapter 20

I'd like to begin with some acknowledgment.  There are two pieces of fanart that inspired scenes in this chapter, and here they are:  (1) (2)

I hope you can tell which inspired what, or else I'm in trouble :P 

I was also inspired by two songs in particular, which also have relevance to said scenes in the chapter:  (1)  (2)

So, in this chapter things are moving forward once again.  Inuyasha and Kagome learn of Miroku/Sango/Kohaku's quest, and also of Sesshoumaru's "wish" to have Inuyasha present at the House of the Moon to help defend Rin, should the need arise.  It is a transition between the big climax of the Reunion and the final climax of the story.  It's a way to have everyone heading in the right direction.  Originally, another scene was going to be added, from Siberia, but it was cut at the last minute.  The entire next chapter will be about Sesshoumaru and his trek back east to his home.  Right now, it is shaping up to have a pivotal  "oh shit" moment for our favorite taiyoukai :)

Hm..what else?  There isn't a lot to say about a transitional chapter...I hope to have the next one up a bit faster than this one, but as I prepare to move halfway around the world, my life has descended into utter chaos.  I can only hope that those readers who came via recs stick with me, even though I've failed to stick to my updating schedule.

Right now, it appears the story will have about 25 chapters, all told, with a gaining-in-strength possibility for a Sesshy-centric sequel.
