Frustration: Story status updates
This is probably the first week since March that I've gotten little-to-no work done on any of my major writing projects, and it's a weird kind of frustration. There's a metric fuckton of chaos in "Real Life", stuff that has not only squeezed out every inch of my free time, but has frozen my creative stream as well.
I guess, in a way, it's a good feeling to have, because it means I'm back in the habit of writing frequently, and it's something I wish I could do instead of what I have to do (ie, going to work). *sigh* Real life sucks. I can't wait for all this drama to be over so I can settle back into some semblance of 'normal'.
As for the status of my various WiPs...
*I've written about 1/3 of Chapter 5 in Nihon Idol. This is a pretty important chapter because it introduces Koga's character, but I'm finding myself completely rewriting the intended Miroku/Sango storyline.
*I'm still wrestling with the plotting of Chapter 21 in Every Heart. I know what needs to happen, just not the sequence it needs to happen in.
*I'm trying to spiff up my contest entry for![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
inuyashaxkagome, which has lead to...
* A twoshot alternate manga ending piece, that's diametrically opposite of said (admittedly fluffy) contest entry. The first half of it is done, to my satisfaction, but the second half is being troublesome. Sometimes, the words just don't flow the way I want...
...but I think once the stress of life has faded (or changed into something new), things will pick up again. I just have to trust my readers will understand :)
