Voting has ended for the first quarter over at Dokuga! Here is the winner's list -

I'm pleased to see that two of my fics placed in their respective categories (out of four nominations): Fleeting came in 3rd place for Best AU/AR, while "Promise" was voted 3rd Place for Best Drabble.

Even more exciting for me, several of my nominees won or placed in their respective categories!!

I think you did great. You know you are one of the few (very few) Sess/Kags writers I even read! If you could open my eyes to the possibility, that says volumes! LOL! (well, at least to me!)

That's the irony of it - people outside hardcore Sess/Kag fandom tend to enjoy my stuff (and are willing to tell me! Geez, do I need to wear a sign or something?!), whereas the folks that inhabit Dokuga are less likely to even notice I'm there. I think you guys here at LJ (and MM.org, and FF.net) are awesomesauce, because even if I know where and how I want to continue the various series, and will do so whether or not anybody reads it, it's always nice to have a little encouragement every now and again, you know?

So basically this is me being surprised/shocked/bitter at actually placing in these awards, considering the rather low profile I keep there.

Maybe it's because you don't portray Kagome as the wronged victim who runs to Sess to be saved. Or it could be because you don't portray Inuyasha as this vicious out of control freak who chooses Kikyou in front of Kagome or tries to kill Kagome or is so stupid he doesn't know his ass from his elbow.

Or... maybe it could be the fact that you allow Sess to grow into his changes instead of never changing. You can make see what is going on behind the mask and most Sess/Kags writers never do. They just stick with the victim/dumbass role and that's it. Some people will never change their views.

We like being awesomesauce! AND we appreciate good work!
