There is a method behind the madness

Well isn't this a kick...

I was looking over the nomination list for the sengoku_times, and - shock of shocks - I found one of my own pieces among the nominees! Considering my acrimonious split with the site last October, that was about the last thing I ever expected to see.

So, many thanks to the kind but ultimately misguided soul who nominated me, as I do appreciate it (even if your nomination will ultimately go to waste). I'm always flattered when someone deigns my work worthy of an award nomination - the recognition and appreciation means a lot to me.

This quarter's banner, made by priestess_skye, uses some of my very favorite fanart by technoelfie, so in a way - I feel like I've already won the biggest prize of all =)

I have no idea how I managed to place for my portrayal of Kagome in Allegiance, considering her rather small role in the story thus far (and considering the reaction I've garnered to her characterization elsewhere), but there it is. Thanks to everyone who nominated and voted for this piece; it is one very close to my heart, and I do appreciate the recognition, bitterly ironic though it may be.
