Well isn't this a kick...

I was looking over the nomination list for the sengoku_times, and - shock of shocks - I found one of my own pieces among the nominees! Considering my acrimonious split with the site last October, that was about the last thing I ever expected to see.

So, many thanks to the kind but ultimately misguided soul who nominated me, as I do appreciate it (even if your nomination will ultimately go to waste). I'm always flattered when someone deigns my work worthy of an award nomination - the recognition and appreciation means a lot to me.

This quarter's banner, made by priestess_skye, uses some of my very favorite fanart by technoelfie, so in a way - I feel like I've already won the biggest prize of all =)

I did go over and vote for PQ,Rosie, you and LC Rose. There was a lot flotsam
and jetsam nominated. I could not bring myself to vote for any of the Sesshoumaru or Kagome art categories. Congrats on your nomination, I guess. I know you like Technoelfie. Personally, I think that her Sesshoumaru looks too much like the creepy bisexual David Bowie from Labyrinth for my taste.

Your discription is too funny, but I don’t think he looks like a creepy bisexual David Bowie in Labyrinth. But then again not everybody likes the same thing, which is obvious with the fan art that was nominated this time around. I was really disappointed in the fan art nominations except for two in the Sess / Kags category, and they were both sketches.

Congrats on your nomination! I haven’t read that particular story yet ( I will before I vote ) but I’ve read some of your drabbles and I’m sure you are deserving of the nomination.

OMG! I know what you mean about being surprised though. One of my drabbles, which are not posted on Dokuga, was nominated and my chapter fic TSOK was nominated for best lemon fic. I have trouble writing lemons ( not reading them, just writing ) so I was more surprised about the lemon fic nomination.

Thanks! I'm sure I won't get anything for it, it's just nice that someone liked the story enough to nominate it. I was so surprised when I was going though the nomination list to see who was nominated, and there I was nominated for two categories. I was definitely shocked.

:) Well, thanks. I was more surprised about it because of the history between me and the admins on the site than anything else. This story has been pretty well accepted by the crowd here at LJ and at FF.net, though I think I'm losing people with the current storyline o.O

I have trouble writing lemons ( not reading them, just writing ) so I was more surprised about the lemon fic nomination.

Well many congratulations on that!! I know what you mean about writing lemons, but - at least for me, once I started, the floodgates kinda opened unexpectedly. Things definitely get easier with practice =)

Congrats! Fleeting deserves all the accolades it gets. I don't remember what else was nominated for that category, but that is definitely a vote I'll be happy to cast. The banner is quite nice :) I need to go grab mine and post it to my banner page.

LOL, there were a ton of other fics nominated for that category, so I'm expecting the result to be the same as it usually is. Fleeting has been nominated a bunch over there, but it's only ever placed once. *shrug* Whatever.
