O.O Wow, I'd just like to take a moment and thank everyone who voted for Memento Mori. Given its competition, I was sure it had no chance...and instead it blew every other piece out of the water. Considering the last few weeks I've had, the smile that brought to my face was a very welcome one, indeed. Thank you, for the bottom of my heart - I really appreciate the support this piece has received, from all corners of the fandom :)
Also, many congratulations to the winners on my f-list:
knittingknots,
doggieearlover,
madmiko,
flametwirler, &
caitriona695!!

Given the relevant discussions going on on-list right now, here are the stats for the categories with rollovers:
Best Poemfic/Songfic - 2 choices (of a potential 4) - 20 votes [rolled over twice]
Best Yaoi/Yuri - 3 choices (of a potential 4) - 23 votes [rolled over twice]

Best Romance (Mir/San) - 3 choices (of a potential 4) - 39 votes [rolled over once]

The voters got it right. Congrats lady! You definitely deserve this one. :D

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. It's been a good start at least.

It is clear from your statistics that rollover creates fewer choices in the end of the year voting. The balloting was very close. Some of the winners won by only one vote. I suppose this is to be expected when you put the best head to head. There is no result I could not live with (though I would have liked to see britedark win).

I was surprised at some of the winners - and not surprised at others. I'm glad to see such a variety on the list, considering what was eligible to vote for. It gives me a little faith that the Guild isn't as close-minded as people make it out to be sometimes.

Though I am sad to pull it right when it's getting really interesting for Sango and Miroku. I've been developing their relationship for a long time, and it's just finally got to what some really consider romance (i.e. sex). Personally, I think the relationship building is just as important as the sex part of it.

Having read this week's slate of entries, I'd more than agree with you on that! Here's hoping it will flourish :)

Well, you're still keeping it eligible for other awards, yes? Hopefully it will be recognized for its awesomeness on other aspects :)

Hopefully I will have the chance to compile all the stats sometime this week. I'm a big nerd, but I'm looking forward to the chance to look over everything at once and see what, if anything, is there.
