Feudal Association: March 2009 Term

Voting for the March 2009 term at the fa_awards begins today and runs through April 2. If you're a member, make sure you take the chance to show some love to these fabulous writers and artists!!

I was lucky enough to receive two nominations this go around, for two pieces quite close to my heart :) I'd like to extend special thanks to psyco_chick32 for the Fleeting nod, and to madmiko for the Coda nomination. Many, many thanks, ladies!!

I've seen my competition in both categories, and to call it "fierce" would be an understatement. It's really great to see so many fics and artworks nominated for these fabulous awards this time around! Click here to see all of the nominees.

Good luck. I tried to nominate you, but they retired Memento Mori. One work that I did not vote for, but I do recommend is Sunset:Naraku and Kagome by
akari188 which is entered in both Best Romance Art and Best Overall Art.

I'm going to have to break out my nominees list again to vote, because its been so long... :P The artwork is usually fantastic, anyway, but I know I nommed a lot of folks I'd like to vote for.

I was frankly shocked (in a good way) to see so many different fics nominated into all the categories this time around.

As I recall, you were awfully quick to count yourself out with Memento Mori too, and look how that turned out. =P

And you saw my reaction when I did somehow manage to win that category.

This is a whole different ballgame,though. We're talking big name S/K writers with big-name, long-ass S/K stories. Hell, my canon stuff isn't as popular with my readers as my S/K stuff is, much less attempt to extrapolate that to fandom at large...and every other non I/K romantic pairing.

As for angst...yeah, that story is rather old, and again - huge names and titles in that category. Including you, might I just add :)

So, I believe my doubts are more than justified, unfortunately.

LOL, thanks :) It's nice to have a nod or two when these things roll around, isn't it? And I'm trying to see the whole "no repeated nominations" thing is a good light...
