From the ashes rises a phoenix - in the form of yet another Inuyasha contest community, LOL.

I'm happy to announce the launch of a brand new, generic, all-inclusive drabble/oneshot community:

iy_themes
We're hosting bi-weekly contests - of varying word lengths - on some pretty awesome themes. All characters, pairings, ratings, genres are welcome! All forms of canon - manga, anime, movies - are valid! If its set in the Inuyasha universe, then it's welcome at our comm!

We're easing into things with a lovely little drabble prompt, due May 5. Details can be found in this post.

Our first theme not inspiring you? You can sneak a peek at the rest of the year and plan ahead. We have three special themes coming up, so we'd especially love some turnout for those!

Mine's up. This one hit me like a ton of bricks. I just started looking through native trees and the whole thing basically wrote itself. Scary, huh? *snicker*

It took my mind off all the other garbage, so I really must thank you for getting the comm off the ground so soon!!!

With everything swirling around here, this was by no means just a SMALL help for my sanity! I mean it!! I am better able to focus on the problems now than I was yesterday, and I truly believe that researching and writing that drabble was a GREAT help. In addition, you have some really great upcoming prompts, so I'm looking forward to doing more!

With everything swirling around here, this was by no means just a SMALL help for my sanity! I mean it!!

Well, we figured it was high time to let a little positive energy flow back into the fandom after all the weird and random crap that's been floating about. If that positivity extends even further then damn, I'd say that's a job well done all around =)

Seriously, though, I know what you mean about needing the distraction. My muses are peeking around the corner again, wondering if its safe to come out and play.

Oh, it just got SOOOO not safe for me. Nile just friended me on LJ. I'm cringing, waiting for the shitstorm to follow, since almost NONE of my entries are locked. Eh, whatever.

*shakes vigorously* Okay, now that I'm over that little burp, yeah, it appears to me as though the comm is off to a wonderful start. First day of business - only 16 members less than the one you left behind? I think that's pretty cool. Plus, you have some ROCKIN' entries for the first prompt.
