There is a method behind the madness

Because I am lame and didn't get anywhere close to sending out Christmas cards this year, I'm taking the easy way out and scanning one for the group...so, Happy Chrismahanakwanzakah!

[+] We're holding our very last contest at iy_themes this week, and a very generous member of the community has stepped up to offer a prize to our winner! I'd love to see the community go out with a bang, so if you're an Inuyasha fan, please consider contributing? Entries will be accepted until Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 January 4th, 2011.

[+] I know I've been awful quiet at this journal this month, but that's because all of the goodies I've been working on have been for fandom_stocking. If you're in the holiday spirit, please consider donating some fic, icons, recs, or even just general cheer! =) Stockings won't be revealed until January 6th, 2011, so there's still plenty of time to contribute. With over 800 fandom tags, I know all the fandoms of everyone on my f-list are well represented. Maybe you just want to find other fans of your faves? This is a great place to do that! It's been fun to stretch my wings a bit - I wrote fic for a couple fandoms I'm absolutely new to, and I made a boatload of icons for another (and found some awesome artwork for said fandom in the bargain). I'm looking forward to sharing my goodies next month!

Two special promos I'd like to share with my f-list!


We're running a very special contest over at iy_themes, and I'd like to invite everyone on my f-list (and beyond!) to participate in it =) Our theme is blue moon, because we're going to have one tonight, New Year's Eve! This is the third of three special themes we'll be hosting this year, with extended word counts and a special prize.

In addition to a banner, the winner of this contest will receive an actual, physical prize for their efforts. More details can be found here, if you're interested.

We've had awesome support for the comm so far, and I really would love to see it continue :) This is just the mods' way of saying thanks for participating, and we want to see more! It all depends on how successful the response to this theme is, as to whether or not we'll continue to offer prizes for themes in 2010.


The next term of Eikyuu Kosai (the Mir/San Awards) is almost here! We seek to award the efforts of fans, both for fiction and art, in a variety of categories.

Our nomination period runs from January 1 - January 14, 2010. Work eligible for awards this term must have been posted **to a publicly accessible archive** between July 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009. Adore a piece older than that? Nominate it for 'Hidden Treasure'!
