I favor chapters 411,494, and the last 2 (hardly surprising since they are all important to the IK romance story!).

The manga arc I listed isn't my favorite, but I think its an important one that's often overlooked. If pressed, I'd probably name the Bakusaiga arc as my favorite (LOL, big surprise!) - as it seems like Sesshoumaru's character finally comes full circle.

I like the Meidou arc. It is where Sesshy gets to grow up by throwing away Daddy's sword. I forgot you liked the Bakusaiga arc. I would have guessed the hell arc. Sesshy almost looks like he is crying when he realized that Tenseiga would not bring back Rin.
HOTM just does not have enough IY in it for me.
Sango's theme is great. Dearest just comes after all the angsty IK episodes.

I agree with you; it shows she has real courage of her conviction. She could've just as easily - and justifiably - stayed in her own time and given up the hunt because she was hurting so much. But it was the depths of her love that allowed her to feel such agony in the first place, and she recognized that.
Not many S/K folk do Inuyasha any justice; I think Resmiranda *did* in HotM. I like the story because its visceral; so many people focus on it being a Sess/Kag fic when, in reality, its much more about Kagome growing up and learning to let go of her anxiety and sorrow. She lost her friends before she could get back to them in that fic, and her journey is pretty darn amazing. (The fact that she won over Sesshoumaru is just like icing on the cake for me, LOL.)

I enjoy the Hell arc, but not to the same degree Sess/Rin fans do. He's emotional there, yes, but his emotions are so twisted and construed by the shippers its almost impossible to love for its value to the story anymore. (Plus - come on, SessMom for the friggin' win!!)
But with the Bakausaiga arc, several things are happening at once, all of which culminate in pushing forward Sesshoumaru's characterization. But the arc I posted is vital as well, as its the very moment he chooses to let go of his attachment to Tessaiga and Tenseiga, thus unlocking the final doors.

I think her theme really encompasses the darker, more emotional side of the whole series. Serious, sorrowful, but also proud and exciting. A great overview not only of her character, but the core group as a whole.

*SHOCK*
And you call yourself a Sess/Kag fan! Tsk, tsk, LOL.
You should read it. It's something of a timesink, but the best possible kind. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll swoon, but you'll never be sorry you read it.

note: I accidentally typed the name of the movie-that-shall-not-be-named! (aka the one after three)
oops.

But Movie 3 is essential love for any Sesshoumaru fan (or any InuPapa fan, for that matter :P). ZOMG, a couple of his action sequences immediately demand replay whenever I'm watching it.
