Rules:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
4. Do 5 of these, then post.
Take a wild guess at the pairing I picked :P

Song One: "Words of Love," The Mamas & the Papas
Kagome huffed, blowing a wisp of hair up from her forehead. She eyed him angrily, her rage seething just below the surface. He just stared back at her blankly, genuinely mystified as to her reaction.
“You really don’t get it, do you?” she asked after a moment’s pause. “You have no idea what you’ve done wrong!”
Sesshoumaru bristled. “I’ve done nothing wrong,” he insisted, drawing himself up to his full height and crossing his arms.
She could almost laugh at his righteous indignation. “Worn out phrases and longing gazes won’t get you where you want to go,” she mocked him. “You want my forgiveness? Try apologizing!”
“For what?!” he exploded. “Woman, I swear, you make me crazy!”
“The feeling’s mutual,” she grumbled, stomping off.

Song Two: "Say Goodbye," Dave Matthews Band
“We shouldn’t be doing this,” she whispered, more to herself than him. But, caught up in his arms as she was, he heard her anyway.
“And why not?” he murmured, allowing his lips to wander down the line of her neck.
She felt herself melting into his embrace, despite her fears. “We’re just friends,” she protested, albeit weakly.
“In your eyes, I see what’s on my mind,” he teased, pressing a kiss to the tip of her nose before moving lower, brushing his mouth against hers softly, gently. “You want me, you want this.”
She tried to push against him. “Maybe,” she hedged, “but tomorrow, facing the world – ”
“We’ll be friends, if that’s what you truly desire,” he replied, pulling her close, nestling her body against his most intimately. “Although I look forward to having this whole night to convince you otherwise.”
“Sesshoumaru,” she moaned, unable to help herself. Here, now, locked in his embrace, she couldn’t deny just how very much she wanted this. So it had taken getting trapped in an elevator together to make her see the truth – but at this moment, there was nowhere else she’d rather be.
His hands worked quickly, thoroughly; soon they were warm against her skin, touching her everywhere and nowhere, all at the same time. She was lost to sensation as he shifted his weight over her, feeling happy and wary and wondrous all at once, climbing to heights she’d never experienced before having her world splinter into tiny, glittery fragments of joy and wonder.
Could they ever go back to being ‘just friends’ after this?

Song Three: "One Angry Dwarf & 200 Solemn Faces," Ben Folds Five
“Oh, not again,” Kagome groaned, letting her face fall into her hands as swords clashed and the earth rumbled under their feet.
“He looks like an angry little dwarf,” Miroku observed as Inuyasha was hurled back under the force of Tokijin’s power. The hanyou snarled and cried out before rushing at his brother again, Tessaiga raised.
“I wish they wouldn’t do this,” Kagome muttered. “It’s so pointless! You’d think at least Sesshoumaru would’ve realized that by now. He’s no idiot.”
Miroku and Sango turned to her, their surprised expressions identical.
“Sesshoumaru?” Sango stuttered.
“Not Inuyasha?!” Miroku said at the same time.
“You’ll be sorry!” Inuyasha shouted just then. “One day you’ll learn you can’t push me around, you bastard!”
Kagome frowned, puzzled by her friends’ bewilderment. Finally, Miroku took pity on her and explained. “Since when do you take up for Sesshoumaru over Inuyasha?”
Her cheeks tinged pink, but Kagome held her tongue.
Sango grabbed her hand. “Something happened between you two!” she breathed. “Spill it!”
“I wondered why Sesshoumaru had been nosing around lately,” Miroku remarked. “Come on, Kagome, tell us what’s going on!”
Kagome drew herself up to her full height. “Some women don’t kiss and tell,” she said, with as much embarrassed dignity as she could muster.
Miroku and Sango could only gape in response.

Song Four: "Darling Be Home Soon," The Lovin' Spoonful
“Do you have to go?” Kagome whispered, tightening the brace of her arms around his waist.
He pressed a kiss into her hair and brushed his hand across her cheekbone. “Yes,” he murmured. “I’m sorry.”
“Not half has sorry as I am,” she replied mournfully, allowing him to get up, shower, and dress. She watched with sad eyes as he quickly packed a travelling bag, looking around for all the details of the case he was currently working on, one that would take him halfway around the world from her, so soon after their marriage.
She reached out for him as he settled beside her on the bed again, pulling herself up and flush against his chest. “My darling, be home soon,” she whispered, running her hands through his hair. “I couldn’t bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdle.”
“You know I will, love,” he replied, kissing her softly. “I’ll be back before you know it.”
“Promise me, this is the last time you’ll have to go away for your work?” she asked as he pulled away, smoothing his tie once more.
“I promise,” he said solemnly. “From then on, you’ll be the center of my universe. You,” he continued, brushing his hand across her abdomen, “and this.”

Song Five: "Bathwater," No Doubt
“Oh, my lord,” Kagome gasped, her eyes widening as she peeked into the room. As far as the eye could see was a sea of men and women, dressed to the hilt of first fashion.
Sesshoumaru looked at her, raising an eyebrow in question. “Are you okay?”
“I don’t belong here,” she said swiftly, pulling on his arm. “Please, Sesshoumaru.”
“Relax,” he murmured.
“Relax?!” she cried. “I don’t fit in here! You could’ve had your choice of these women, and you still chose me?!” She eyed the crowd again. “They’re going to crucify me.”
“Nonsense,” he said firmly, giving her a small shake. “They will do no such thing.”
The death glares in the eyes of those elegant taiyoukai women said something else altogether, but Kagome kept her mouth shut. Why do the good girls always want the bad boys? Damn her weaknesses!
“If you show weakness, they will pick up on it,” he continued, his voice low as they approached the dais. “Give them a strong front - act like you belong here, at my side.”
She bit her lip and curled her hands into fists. It’d help if I actually felt like that, she thought helplessly.
“Because you do,” he said, turning her to face him. “You are my equal.”

And that's why I always take more than three-to-five minutes to compose even the shortest little fic, LOL.
