I'll show you mine, if you show me yours...

It's certainly been an interesting few days this week...Midnight Masquerade has turned into what is the equivalent of a huge hit for me, inspiring the first bits and pieces of fanart I've ever received!

This is what [livejournal.com profile] aamalie has deigned share with the rest of the world at the moment:

...though you can be assured that she has been spamming me with teases of entire sketches that just make my little fangirl heart faint with glee, hehe!

So now its time for me to hold up my end of our little exchange. In addition to my "official" author's notes post, she wants to see the actual page of notes I made whilst preparing for this story. I can't say this is one of the most stimulating brainstorms I've ever had, but who am I to deny the one soul out there sweet enough to gift me with awesometastic fanart?

As you can see, my handwriting does get progressively worse, the closer to an actual fic resolution I get o.O And, for once, most of the things included on this sheet actually made it into the story - except that first crack about the swords, which unfortunately had to be cut. It was originally going to be the first thing Miroku said to Sango, upon rescuing her from her not-so-much date, in order to make her feel better about being totally humiliated. Because that's something Miroku would do - crack jokes out of nervousness :P

So you guys can decide for yourselves, but I think I came out far ahead in this deal, LOL.

If there's any interest in seeing my notes for other stories, I might scan more pages from my notebook. I still have plans to expose the horribleness that was attempting to write Dream Lover longhand, if I can ever work up the nerve... :P

Maybe it is a challenge! (Whatcha gonna do about it, huh?)

Once summer rolls around and I have to start sorting through evaluations again, I might have to post examples of the handwriting I get to decipher sometimes. Trust me, your handwriting is very readable compared to some of the chicken scratch I've seen!
