There is a method behind the madness

It's been awhile since I've been able to do this =)

First of all, I'd like to thank eggplantlady for nominating my story, "Midnight Masquerade," during the October 2015 session of the FA awards. It garnered enough votes to earn third place in its category, Best Romance, and earned me a very prescient banner, which you can see ( under the cut ) This is one of my very favorite stories I've written, period, and it tickles me that folks are still getting a kick out of it all these years later =)

Voting for the current term at Eikyuu Kosai, the Mir/San Fandom Awards, began today, July 18th, 2010 and continue through Sunday, July 31st, 2010. I'd like to extend an invitation to the whole of my f-list to check out this fantastic guild, located at mirsanawards. We have a fabulous slate of nominations in contention this term, and we'd really love all of the help and support we can get, now that its time to vote!

Membership is CLOSED during the voting period. It will open up again on August 1st.

It's certainly been an interesting few days this week...Midnight Masquerade has turned into what is the equivalent of a huge hit for me, inspiring the first bits and pieces of fanart I've ever received!

...though you can be assured that she has been spamming me with teases of entire sketches that just make my little fangirl heart faint with glee, hehe!

So now its time for me to hold up my end of our little exchange. In addition to my "official" author's notes post, she wants to see the actual page of notes I made whilst preparing for this story. I can't say this is one of the most stimulating brainstorms I've ever had, but who am I to deny the one soul out there sweet enough to gift me with awesometastic fanart?

So you guys can decide for yourselves, but I think I came out far ahead in this deal, LOL.

If there's any interest in seeing my notes for other stories, I might scan more pages from my notebook. I still have plans to expose the horribleness that was attempting to write Dream Lover longhand, if I can ever work up the nerve... :P
