IYFG: 1st Quarter 2010 Banners (Ready...set...go!)
Congratulations to all the winners of the IYFG 1st Quarter 2010! (The complete list can be found here.)
I figure that nobody knows their stories better than the authors, and in order to give you a prize banner you'd be proud to display, I'd like to have your input! Please let me know if you have one of the following:
(1) Fanart for your story, drawn by yourself or others
(2) A specific character or image in mind, from any source of "official" artwork
(3) **Crossover and Original Character winners**: specific details, descriptions, or images from your crossover canon universe or OCs
If you have one of the following and you'd like me to use it on your banner, please comment on this LJ post (anon commenting on my LJ is open, and this post is public), with the following:
(1) a LINK to the image
(2) PERMISSION FROM and CREDIT TO the artist of the piece, if fanart or doujinshi
(3) a description of the manga or anime arc you'd like me to cap a picture from
Please respond within the next week or two, if you'd like to have input in your banners. (I realize tomorrow is a holiday for the US, so that might delay response.) If I don't hear from you by June 8th, I'm assuming that means I can have creative freedom to do whatever I want with it, and you won't bitch about the end result =)
Banners will eventually be displayed on the IYFG website for all to admire. I will also post them here to LJ when they're done. Right now, I do not have a timeline for completion, because June is going to be a very busy month for me, offline, but I am shooting for them to be done by the end of the month.

But if it'll help... hmm. Well, obviously, I'd prefer Kagome and/or Sesshoumaru. Kagome is a singer in the fic, so use that as you will. :P I don't know if that's enough for you to go on. Don't stress though - either on time or on content. No one should have anything to complain about with your work!

I was hoping to have subtle dabs of color in the picture itself, and to clean the lines up a bit, but yeah, these are probably not things that you could do easily. If I can't get anything figured out in time, it's fine if you just use the lineart pretty much as-is. Since my sister also plays Aion, it fits with the game art style pretty well anyway.
If you'd rather screw around with screencaps, I can do that too, but it'd be scenery only because I'm out of character slots (and therefore can't recreate the characters from my story without sacrificing an existing character). LOL

I want this stuff done as much to make a generic fic banner for myself as to have a super-shiny IYFG banner. So if it sounds like I'm rushing, it's because I'm excited to finally have a resource, so to speak, for graphics to go with this fic. :D

I've contacted a couple of artists and gained permission for you to use their pieces on the IYFG banners. Hopefully, this will make your life easier!
