Kirby Morrow reveals in a podcast with Trevor Devall that Sesshoumaru will be voiced by Michael Daingerfield (Johann – Gundam 00).

Some 18 hours later, Michael tells me in an email that Moneca Stori will not be reprising her role as Kagome and has been replaced by Kira Tozer. To the best of my knowledge, she has no experience in anime, but the clips of voice that I've heard are pretty good.

Kinda disappointed about Sesshomaru, but can deal w/having a new voice for Kagome. Hers wasn't a memorable one in the dubs.

That said, I am probably not going to miss Moneca Stori at all. I was kind of on the fence about David Kaye, though he is a pretty good VA, but I'm interested in who they'll find to replace him.

Yeah, I saw this a couple days ago, but didn't know how "official" it was. I think Michael Daingerfield is a terrible choice for Sesshoumaru--he doesn't have that cultured-sounding quality Sesshoumaru needs, IMO. Kira Tozer has done voice work for some of the Barbie animated movies. Her voice is actually similar to Moneca Stori, but maybe a tad less ... childish. Changing Kagome's VA may have been dictated by a desire to make her sound more mature since she is supposed to be mature enough to get married by the end.

I agree with browneyedmami - bummed about Sesshoumaru, but fine with Kagome. I guess it's not a surprise. It's been going on awhile, and people will want to do other things (or are committed to other things). I'm far more interested in who they get to replace them. Hmmm...
