Kids Inc
Well, amusingly enough, something good has come out of the (as-of-yet unresolved) troll issue - I found a few fellow fanwriters for Kids Inc, and all it took was a wee bit of encouragement to get them to share their stories! HOORAY! As soon as I read them, I'll probably be heading over here to rec them. But OMFG someone else is writing for this fandom *SQUEE*

Fanfic talk has gotten so big that Dawne created a sub-forum for it on her board. Its public (and a little lulzy) if you want to take a peek... :)

BSC
Hilarious icons (including the one on this post) have been posted here. ozqueen has started using caps from the TV show, so if you enjoyed that - don't miss this! =)

There is also amazing fanfic coming out of babysitters100, being posted so fast I can't keep up with it. If, as I suspect, I'll post a record-breaking third rec post this month (sometime around Saturday - keep your eyes peeled), it will definitely have some BSC fic on it. Woohoo!

Miscellaneous
Just as an FYI, both BSC and She-Ra are covered by the fandom_of_one newsletter. I was shocked when I read it last week and found these new-old fandoms on it, so if you're a fan and you're looking for fic/icons, it might be worth it to put this comm on your watch list :)

The only fandom disappointing me at the moment is GH, though its no fault of my fellow fans - just the show being dumb, as usual *sigh* However, it has been amusing to watch the casting wankery from afar, so I guess even its been entertaining of late?

I need this fire to finish this WIP - its one chapter away from being done. Unfortunately, right now my head is filled with lots of hopping KI bunnies instead, so as soon as I can get them pushed off to this side, this is the first thing I'm finishing. The chapter is outlined and the scenes are drafted - I just need to get in the right frame of mind to sit down and get it done, you know what I mean?

LOL, I dunno how persuasive I was...all it took was literally one "I'd totally read it if you posted!" response and one of the people on the board already has four fics up :P

I really miss having people to squee with, so when I saw the opportunity, I grabbed it :) Now, hopefully, our little KI section at the Pit will grow a bit faster than just what I can contribute to it.

I just love receiving fanart, even if I kinda sorta forget I asked for it, LOL!

I kinda feel like I'm being rewarded a little bit, for fangirling in obscurity with a couple of you guys for nearly a year. Apparently, all I had to do was reach out to one of the seemingly-dead KI forums and tell others how much I wanted to read their work! :D I'm so excited its stupid...and I've planned out a very short collection of ficlets to post up for Valentine's Day, so this little street is definitely running both ways :)

The only thing about being the first to post a story under a section is that apparently everyone else thinks I have some sort of ownership over it - like they need to have my blessing to post stuff there. It's just a little mind-boggling! But kinda cute, too. Either way, I'm just glad my story encouraged others to share, because that's what fandom's all about! =)

Ugh, I know - I've been slogging through a serious lack of motivation to work on anything, and then all of this happened at once. Now I have KI bunnies out my ears, and sudden determination to finish a story that's been languishing far too long, considering its depth and breadth...

As soon as my KI dust settles a bit, I'm going to finish this thing. I'm ready for it to be done - I was ready for it to be done two months ago, before other things interceded.

*nods happily* I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts, for sure - but its great to have a sense of community again! It's one of the things I miss most about being exclusive to IY - having people to squee with.
