The thread is very, very interesting, and chock full of info.
I don't know that e-publishing would be my primary route to published fiction, but it certainly seems to be a growing and lucrative market. Strong hints of a fandom history are indicated, too, instead of being counterproductive.
Part of me is inspired and part of me is insane with jealousy, lol. :) What's interesting is how she got such a huge readership so fast since the problem with self-publishing is usually that nobody knows your book exists.
While I've always dreamed of being in print, to be able to self-start the way she did...that's amazing.
