7.) Favorite super special:

It was HARD choosing a favorite Super Special. I pretty much love all of them, at least the ones I read the first go-around. I even like #4 Baby-sitters' Island Adventure, when Claud and Dawn get shipwrecked with Jeff, Becca Ramsey, and Jamie Newton.

These two are the ones I reread the most often, though. Snowbound was my favorite for a long time - pretty much until The Baby-sitters Remember came out. I loved the idea of a blizzard and being snowed in, I guess because I grew up in a very snow-adverse part of the country. All of the individual plotlines are strong: Mary Anne getting stuck at the Pikes, Stacey and her mom stranded on the way back from Washington Mall, Dawn and her mom at the airport waiting for Jeff, Claudia spending the night at the Perkins', Jessi spending the night at her dance school (and Quint walking there from the train station!), Bart sleeping over at Kristy's and making her feel like she has to primp for hours in the bathroom before facing him the next morning (hilarious!). It's the right mix of funny and touching and snow, and it hits me right in the heart every time ♥

If you were to judge on the basis of the state of my book covers, though, The Baby-sitters Remember would win, hands down. My copy is literally falling apart, I've read it so many times. There's just something about the idea of the characters' pasts that just fascinates me - we're seeing hints and pieces of what makes them the characters we love in the canon. Some of the stories are well trod (like Logan and Mary Anne's first meeting), but we also get a section from Shannon, who never has a POV in the Super Specials. I especially like Jessi's memory of being the only one who can soothe her baby brother's cries, especially since she dreads his arrival and the changes it makes to her family.
