The master index for my 'Count Me In' series. As I'm writing it in a very non-linear fashion, if you'd like to enjoy the story in order, here's the place to do it.

Summary: Exactly what it says on the tin: a post-canon BSC headcanon in which Charlie Thomas and Janine Kishi discover each other, become great friends, and fall in love. The namesake of this series is the 1966 song by Gary Lewis & The Playboys, because I thought it rather fitting to this particular pairing:

If you need someone to count on when you’re down
And all your other friends you’ve lost, count me found

Having not written anything for the grand majority of this year, my work is still pretty rust-laden, and its likely that I will eventually re-edit these entries in this series again at some point. But, this series is far from over ~ I might not have much time to write anymore, but I am not yet ready to call it a day on this particular OTP ♥

Maybe I should acknowledge my writing blocks more often, if it means I'm suddenly able to break through and produce some fic. Or maybe I need to read a string of truly terrible 80s-era romance novels that make me mad enough to want to do better. Either way, here we are (at long last) with the continuation of Cavorting with the Enemy, part of my Count Me In post-canon Charlie/Janine continuum.

I certainly hope this isn't the last time I visit this particular series this year, but I have learned better than to make promises that time and circumstance force me to break. Considering my

fandom_stocking pieces with these two are leading me into a completely different, separate universe from this one, I definitely forsee myself spending a lot of time with these characters, in one iteration or another :D
