9.) Favorite minor character:

Janine Kishi & Charlie and Sam Thomas - And we have yet another tie, because you can't make me choose between Janine and the (elder) Thomas brothers! Even as a kid I liked these BSC siblings the best, and that feeling has only grown as I've gotten older. I sympathize with Janine and how she feels like an outcast in her own family. I think Claudia treated her very badly, and for no real reason. Charlie and Sam were just the opposite: exactly the sort of older brothers I wish I had - caring, interesting, outgoing, always looking out for each other and the rest of their siblings. Charlie is sort of the neighborhood big brother, and Sam is a lovable goofball who tends to hide his emotions behind his jokes. When the going gets rough, he's very much a peacemaker.
