Heh, this quarter/term of awards nominations is pretty crazy, especially if you are aligned with pairing-centric sites as well as the iy_fanguild and fa_awards. The Feudal Association term just finished, but it's already time to nominate/second again at the IYFG, Eternal Destiny, and Dokuga. Would it be too much to ask for some variation in the calendar, LOL?

I've been doing my part, though - here's the list of my nominations thus far:

I'm still amazed at how well Memento Mori has been received - it's so much the little drabble that could, LOL :) I'm really excited to see the nod for Forbidden Desire ~ it's a true drabble (100 words), it was originally penned for a contest prompt, and it's more sensual than my general fare. My collection of contest entries is by far my largest output of work, so for any of it to receive a fandom-wide nod is really, really exciting for me :D (Perfect Kiss was also originally written for a contest.) I approach writing for contests completely differently than writing an 'original' story - in the former, its the challenge of writing for a prompt within certain (sometimes strict) restrictions, whereas in the latter its more a struggle to contain my muses and keep the piece internally consistent in plot and characterization.

LOL, yes, I have been a busy little bee. It seemed like January came and BAM! Fandom exploded. This is the first time I've nominated at either ED or Dokuga, but I wanted to participate since I enjoy both sites.

But seriously, would it be hard for someone to adjust their calendar, even by a month, LOL? This might be the first and last time I attempt to be in four places at once...

I have not nommed anything at Dokuga or ED. I will have to remember to vote at ED for Kmoaton.Last time you took 4 of my seconds at IYFG. I feel a little weird about seconds since I feel an obligation to vote for my nominees. I am not sure I like the blind nomination over at Dokuga. You have no idea if you are wasting your time nominating stories. Most of the stories that I would nominate at Dokuga are on the prohibited list. I did nominate 4 SK's over at IYFG. Do you know when the deadline for nominating at Dokuga or ED is? I did not see it posted anywhere.

Agreed. I generally second in categories I haven't nominated into, or stories I feel deserve the chance to go to the polls. I usually second those works that someone beats me to :P I only vote for the pieces I nominate (or second, as the case may be).

I'm still scared that Cravings, especially, is going to be DQed. *crosses fingers*

Yeah, it is something of a pain, but at least you're sure what you're nominating will be on the ballot, because *you* nominated it. They also have a time limit for eligible works, but it was nice to have a place to revel in the Sess/Kag love since the Guild is rather resistant to alternate pairings.

Do you know when the deadline for nominating at Dokuga or ED is? I did not see it posted anywhere.

At Eternal Destiny it's the 24th (posted on the awards site); at Dokuga its the 31st (posted in the forum).
