30 Days of BSC | 21: Favorite Non-Canon Pairing

21.) Favorite couple not in the book (as in who you wanted to get together but didn't):

Charlie Thomas/Janine Kishi - I'm not sure why I'm so enamored of this ship - it basically started out as a fandom joke (what is Charlie doing for that half hour while he's waiting for Kristy during the BSC meetings?), but somewhere along the line it became a real alt!pairing. I love the idea of opposites attracting - of an outgoing person matching up beautifully with a more reserved one, kinda balancing each other out - and let's face it, both of them deserve to have fulfilling social lives. We have glimpses into their canon relationships - Janine and Jerry Michaels, Charlie with Sarah Green and Angelica... *checks book* who apparently has no last name - so there is a bit of basis for how each conduct themselves romantically, and they are pretty darn complementary IMO.

Of course, I might be a a little bit biased, considering I'm writing two completely different post-canon universes where they eventually get together, so obvs I believe there's plenty of fodder for the fanon machine.
